You will surely keep on craving for more of this canned tuna lumpia once you take the first bite.  This tuna lumpia is deep fried until it is perfectly light brown on all sides and then dipped in a lumpia sauce made out of vinegar and soy sauce.

Ingredients for Canned Tuna Lumpia Recipe

Here are the simple ingredients that you will need to make this tuna lumpia recipe:
  • 3 cans Century tuna, drained
  • 1½ cups parsley, chopped
  • 1 medium white onions, chopped
  • 1 pack spring roll wrappers or lumpia wrappers
  • 1 teaspoon iodized salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying

Other Kitchen Utensils and Tools Needed

You will also need the following kitchen tools and utensils:
  1. 1 medium sized bowl or container
  2. 1 small bowl with water - used to secure ends of lumpia wraps
  3. Spatula
  4. Wok for deep frying
  5. Kitchen thongs
  6. Aluminum or metal strainer

Procedures on How To Make Canned Tuna Lumpia

Here are the very simple procedures on how to make this canned tuna lumpia recipe:

1.  In a bowl, add the Century tuna flakes.
2.  Add the chopped fresh parsley.
3.  Add the chopped white onions.
4.  Add the iodized salt.
5.  Add the ground black pepper.
6.  Mix well using a spatula.
7.  Place a tablespoon of the tuna mixture on the wrapper.
8.  Fold the side ends of the lumpia sheet inwards.
9.  Then roll the lumpia sheet tightly into a log.
10.  Secure both sides of the lumpia wrapper tightly.
11.  Wet the edges with water to seal lumpia wrappers completely.
12.  Heat oil over medium heat until it is steaming hot.
13.  Then fry tuna lumpia in batches.
14.  Turn and cook lumpia until golden brown on all sides.
15.  Use a metal strainer to drain and remove tuna lumpia from oil.
16.  Drain tuna lumpia on a plate lined with paper towels or on a wire rack.
17.  Arrange on a plate then serve tuna lumpia with your favorite lumpia sauce.
